Mid-Year review from Tamara

Hello and welcome to the 2nd half of 2023!  An interesting year for Seattle area real estate. Single family residential sales are off due to lack of supply and tentative demand from buyers. In May for example, new listings were 32% below the ten-year average. The interest rate hikes of 2022 peaked in October and have been in the mid to high 6’s this year — the new norm for buyers.  The inflation numbers, jobs numbers and mortgage rates are watched closely by all.  And in spite of all the headlines, well-priced homes can still fetch more than one offer and sell for over asking price.  Preparation, the property condition, competition, and timing are all very important factors.  My work is never boring, or without challenges.  I look forward to connecting with you soon.
